What is their vision of the future?
You will find they are absolutely mad, but total control is the game.
for the final word though, a bit of light and hope:
All Things Made New
“Now I saw a new heaven and a new earth, for the first heaven and the first earth had passed away. Also there was no more sea. 2 Then I, John, saw the holy city, New Jerusalem, coming down out of heaven from God, prepared as a bride adorned for her husband. 3 And I heard a loud voice from heaven saying, “Behold, the tabernacle of God is with men, and He will dwell with them, and they shall be His people. God Himself will be with them and be their God. 4 And God will wipe away every tear from their eyes; there shall be no more death, nor sorrow, nor crying. There shall be no more pain, for the former things have passed away.”
5 Then He who sat on the throne said, “Behold, I make all things new.” And He said to me, “Write, for these words are true and faithful.”
Revelation 21:1-5 (NKJV)
The parable of the New Jerusalem descending offers a beautiful promise, which I think is currently being fulfilled. Not just today, but has been in progress for some time. You see, to me it is the promise of spiritual rebirth and the descending of what is holy into the hearts and minds of mankind. It is synonymous with a new spiritual era of inner transformation. However, in order for the new to come in, we must let go of old thinking. We must shed incompatible ideas, affections and ways of connecting with the Divine. These destructive tendencies must be seen and understood, before we can let them go. We must undertand the harmfulness of them, which includes elements like religious fanaticism, based thinking, moral relativity, deference of personal accountability and so forth. In short, the limitations of worldly and self-referencing thought.
The effect we see today, which is reaching some kind of climax or transition. An emptying out of the ‘old church’ if you will: vastation. The good news is that since we see it, it is being dealt with and good will result. Let me leave you with two other promises:
“No temptation has overtaken you except such as is common to man; but God is faithful, who will not allow you to be tempted beyond what you are able, but with the temptation will also make the way of escape, that you may be able to bear it.“
1 Corinthians 10:13
Blessings and Peace be with you!
